The South Korean military (South Korea) deployed a number of fighter jets after two Chinese military aircraft and seven Russian military aircraft flew into the air defense identification zone.
As reported by Reuters, Friday (11/19/2021), South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said in a statement that the Chinese and Russian military aircraft flew into the northeastern area of the Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) for an indefinite period before exiting. Politik Rusia
The JCS added that the Chinese and Russian military planes did not violate South Korean airspace.

In its statement, the JCS also said that the Chinese military in response claimed to be holding routine exercises. “We assess the situation as a joint Chinese and Russian military exercise, but additional analysis is needed,” the JCS said in a statement
